The VBS Support Team plays a crucial role in creating a nurturing and organized environment for children participating in our Vacation Bible School. Volunteers will assist camp counselors, provide positive reinforcement to children, and ensure smooth transitions during counselor breaks. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth mentorship and spiritual development.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
⦁ Assist camp counselors with daily activities and classroom management.
⦁ Engage with children to reinforce positive behavior and participation.
⦁ Supervise groups of children during counselor lunch breaks, ensuring safety and engagement.
⦁ Support the setup and cleanup of VBS activities and materials.
⦁ Collaborate with staff to maintain a structured and joyful learning environment.


Qualifications:
⦁ Open to adults and teens aged 16 and above.
⦁ Enthusiasm for working with children in a faith-based setting.
⦁ Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers.
⦁ Commitment to the full duration of the VBS program.
⦁ Completion of any required training sessions prior to VBS commencement.?Training will consist of two days of training prior to VBS, dates to be determined.


Schedule & Time Commitment:
⦁ Dates: July 21-25, 2025
⦁ Days: Monday-Friday
⦁ Time: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
⦁ Orientation: Mandatory orientation session prior to VBS start date.?Training will consist of one or two days of training prior to VBS, dates to be determined.


Additional Information:⦁ Orientation and training provided on curriculum, classroom management, and child safety policies.
⦁ Opportunity to develop leadership and teaching skills.
⦁ Gain valuable experience in youth ministry and education.
⦁ Letters of recommendation available upon request after consistent service.
⦁ Community service hours can be verified for school or extracurricular requirements.
⦁ This is a volunteer position; no monetary compensation is provided.
