Rock On: DIY Cactus Pet Rocks!
Join us at Byron Health Center for a quirky and creative DIY Cactus Pet Rock activity! Volunteers will help residents turn ordinary rocks into adorable, no-prick cactus companions using paint, googly eyes, and mini pots.
You’ll assist with setup, offer hands-on support with painting and decorating, and cheer on residents as they bring their little cactus critters to life. No green thumb - or art degree - required! Just bring a positive attitude and a willingness to have some fun.
Bring a friend and enjoy this lighthearted, hands-on experience that encourages self-expression, sparks conversation, and leaves everyone smiling with their new plant pals.

Byron Wellness Community is a non-profit organization providing compassionate care for individuals with complex medical, psychiatric, or developmental conditions. We offer long-term care, skilled nursing, memory care, physical and occupational therapy, and Licensed Assisted Living at Miller’s Place. Our specialized programs, including secured memory care neighborhoods and therapies like Cognitive Pathway Strategies and Horticulture Therapy, support residents with conditions such as dementia, mental illness, and intellectual disabilities.
