Volunteer Job Description:

We are seeking experienced, fun, and creative individuals to conduct on-line ESL (English as a Second Language) tutoring sessions. You will be teaching a small group of young students. You may need to write up lesson plans, so being comfortable with writing is required.

Requirements:

• You must commit to 6 months of volunteer work
• You must be available to volunteer for 4 hours per week
• You must have your own ZOOM account and have experience using Zoom
• Comfortable teaching a small class (5-8 students)
• Participate in staff trainings and other meetings

Where (location): virtual/on-line
Schedule (depends on volunteer's availability)

General schedule: Monday-Friday, OR Saturday and Sunday--anytime during the daytime.

Qualifications:

• Experience tutoring children (this can be formal or informal experience, such as tutoring peers at school)
• Strong skills and knowledge in the subject you are tutoring (you may be required to demonstrate what you know during an interview)
• Experience with ZOOM and using Zoom features, such as screen share, chats, recordings
• Professional, responsible, and mature
• Basic computer skills, such as: powerpoint, word docs, google docs,. etc.
