Job Description

Board of Directors - Pride St. Charles

Term: 2 year term with voting rights

The board president shall be the chief volunteer officer of the corporation. The board president shall lead the board of directors in performing its duties and responsibilities, including, if present, presiding at all meetings of the board of directors, and shall perform all other duties incident to the office or properly required by the board of directors.

Committee Management & other responsibilities

• Oversee Board of Directors & work to mentor all directors

• Work with VP to solve internal BOD issues

• Finance Committee member

• Attend all other committees’ meetings when schedule allows

• Pride Pals team mentor

• Policy manual development

• Work with M. Brad Smith, Nonprofit Information Resource Manager to further advance the organization, its Bylaws, handle growth proactively and develop Policies and Practices

• Strategic planning for the future of the organization

• Develop line item budget

• Attend other community events when schedule allows

The individual for this position should be flexible, work efficiently under pressure, and possess the ability to communicate effectively orally as well as digitally. Be able to give direction to multiple people and adapt to moving from one task to another efficiently. Should have the ability to create ideas into vision. Should have the ability to maintain relations with various individuals. Should have the ability to plan grand scheme events. They should also have the ability to develop a line item budget. This individual must be able to work well as a team member as well as a team leader.

The director shall sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) for the organization. This written description does not depict every aspect or duty of the position. All Directors of Pride St. Charles are volunteers.
