At Gentiva Hospice, our mission is to honor the life of the individuals and their families facing a life-limiting illness.
Do you have a passion for caring for others? Are you looking to make a difference? Look no further!! Volunteering with Gentiva may be the fit for you! Gentiva offers wide range of volunteer oppurtunities that can be beneficial for any age group. Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice team; they help improve the quality of life for our patients, families, and their caregivers by enriching their lives with companship, socialization, and mental stimulation. Activities that are helpful but not limited to are reading, writing letters, card games, playing/listening to music, knitting / crocheting, or anyway you can relate and interact with your companion. The most important thing is that the volunteer provides suport during this important time.
Volunteers are the heart of the the hospice team. Your ability to care and help others at the end of their lives is tremendously profound and rewarding.

Hospice Care
When a loved one is facing a life-limiting illness, they need care that goes beyond pain and symptom management. Our teams of nurses, social workers, volunteers, aides, and chaplains attend to people’s emotional, spiritual, and physical needs during this challenging time, so patients and families can make the most of every moment.
