Summary of position: The Lead Kits for Kids Volunteer will work alongside the Director of Kits Programs based in Centennial , CO , to coordinate Kits for Kids events and programming locally. The Lead Kits for Kids volunteer will help oversee additional volunteers who assist with community outreach, inventorying supplies , and preparing for and hosting events. Th is role requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, self-motivation, and professionalism .
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Train and supervise volunteers who provide support for the Kits for Kids program.
- Conduct market research and outreach to prospective partners and donors.
- Coordinate and host Kits for Kids events locally.
- Manage Kits for Kids supply inventory locally.
- Ensure all incoming kits are quality checked and prepared for shipment.
- Provide support to the Director of Kits Programs in various tasks and projects.
- Follow warehouse safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and people skills .
- C omfort with cold calling new partners.
- Basic knowledge of computer and email technology.
- Willingness and ability to train volunteers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail is essential .
