Summary of position: The Kits Programs volunteerwill work alongside the Director of Kits Programs to conduct market research, contact potential partners and donors, and coordinate nationwide kits events. The Kits Programs volunteer will help inventory and order supplies, organize volunteers, and conduct follow-up as needed with kits’ events hosts. This role requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, self-motivation, and professionalism. Optional domestic travel opportunities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct market research and outreach to prospective partners and donors.
- Coordinate and host Kits for Kids events in all seven states.
- Manage kits’ supplies inventory, procure and order supplies as necessary.
- Follow up with kits’ events hosts after events and provide feedback and impact reports.
- May supervise kits programs’ volunteers.
- Ensure all incoming kits are quality checked and prepared for shipping.
- Provide support to the Kits Director in various tasks and projects.
- Follow warehouse safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and people skills.
- Comfortable cold calling new partners.
- Basic knowledge of computer and email technology.
- Willingness and ability to train volunteers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
