Mission Statement
Sammie's House Animal Sanctuary’s mission is to provide animals in need with a refuge from abuse, neglect, or overcrowding in local shelters. We exist to save these animals and rehabilitate them, and in appropriate circumstances, find them adoptive families. With this in mind, we put the welfare of our animals first, and strive to give them the happiest and healthiest lives we can.

Sammie’s House Animal Sanctuary envisions a world where animals, regardless of breed, health issues, age, or behavioral issues are respected, loved, cared for, and given the chance to live long, healthy, happy lives.
Sammie’s House Animal Sanctuary was founded March 18, 2022.

We bought our former property outside of Sebring, FL in 2023, and proceeded to build 10 custom kennel bays for temporary fosters and county shelter overflow. We are a cage-less facility which makes us very different from most shelters.
10-15 senior/hospice dogs reside here as permanent residents at any given time.
2024 has seen the addition of a social media manager, as well as a professional fundraising and development specialist; an expansion of our network partnerships with Florida based rescues; being accepted as a Network Partner for Best Friends Animal Society, the largest animal sanctuary in the United States; and growing our online community to over 10k with special attention paid to digital accessibility. We relocated to a new, larger property in Middleburg, FL in January 2025.
