Location: Kayunga (Residents will have an added advantage)
Job Duration: Flexible, ranging from 1 week to 1 month per module
Are you passionate about music and eager to make a difference? We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Instructor to develop and deliver short-term learning modules aimed at school dropouts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging music learning modules lasting from 1 week to 1 month
- Teach students various musical instruments, song composition, and basic music theory
- Foster a love for music and encourage creative expression among learners
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of students from varied backgrounds
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in playing several musical instruments
- Strong knowledge of song composition
- Good command of English language
- Knowledge and speaking of the locals' language Luganda needed.
- Ability to create concise, impactful learning content
- Experience in working with school dropouts or youth empowerment programs is a plus

Description
Butakoola Village Association for Development (BUVAD), is an indigenous registered non-profit organization implementing a local project of the Rural Communities Safe Water Supply, which is being implemented in Kayunga District of Uganda (East Africa). BUVAD’s registration number is S.5914/8930.
BUVAD was founded in the year 2000 as an initiative of a few concerned local youths who, upon realizing the challenges that their community always faced, undertook numerous sensitizations by the central government and were prompted to set up an association. The basis of this association was to collectively address the community and its needs for a better life. BUVAD turned into an NGO in May, 2011.
The BUVAD offices are located at Bukolooto Trading Centre in Kayunga District.
