We are looking for a volunteer to serve as the Community Manager for our newly established Educators Council. This role will be instrumental in building and nurturing a vibrant community of education professionals who collaborate with us to improve our educational resources and ensure they meet the needs of classrooms worldwide.
ResponsibilitiesWrite the educators newsletter every two weeks with tips for history teachers
Moderate online discussions and ensure a productive, respectful environment
Keep the Educators Council informed about relevant WHE updates
Coordinate testing & feedback collection processes from council members
Liaise between the Educators Council and WHE editorial team
Assist in recruiting new council members through outreach communications
Help organize and document educational use cases
Essential
You are able to commit at least 5 hours per week to this position.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
Basic digital literacy and comfort with online collaboration tools
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-motivation and ability to work independently
Desired
Experience in education (teaching, administration, or related field)
Previous community management or volunteer coordination experience
Background in history education specifically
Experience with online forums, video conferencing, and digital collaboration tools
Understanding of educational technology and curriculum development
Project management skills
