We love our volunteers and are always looking for wonderful people to join our SoL family! There is always plenty of work to be done, but the rewards are many. We welcome compassionate volunteers who love to spend time with animals and be outdoors. Our regular volunteers help with day to day care at the sanctuary. We also host volunteer work days for bigger projects.

Mission Statement
We are a vegan 501(c)(3) farmed animal sanctuary where we rescue and provide life-long sanctuary to typically farmed animals in need. It is our mission to educate, help make connections, and inspire non-violence, peace, and reverence for all life.
Description
We believe in the principle of Ahimsa - non violence to all living beings - and the interconnectedness of all living things. Here in our SoL, it is our mission to offer sanctuary to the animals who find their way here, the humans who live here and visit, the wildlife who call SoL their home, and the Earth who gently supports us all. With kindness, respect, and compassion, we aspire to create a peaceable haven and to share our knowledge and our vision to reawaken the innate compassion that we all possess and to share kind alternatives to make the world a better place for the animals, the Earth, and ourselves.
