Location: Remote | Type: Virtual Volunteer Opportunity | Time Commitment: 5-10 hours/month
Make a difference for wildlife-help us keep our books in order!
Wildlife for All is a nonprofit working to reform state wildlife governance and promote compassionate, democratic approaches to wildlife conservation. We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer bookkeeper to support our small but mighty team. Your skills can help protect wolves, bears, and biodiversity across the country.
Core Responsibilities:
Record and categorize financial transactions using QuickBooks Online
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Generate monthly financial reports for leadership and the board
Assist with tracking grant expenditures and restricted funds
Support preparation for annual 990 filings
Optional Payroll Support:
For volunteers with experience in payroll processing, we’d welcome help with:
Managing monthly payroll through a third-party platform (e.g., QuickBooks Payroll)
Ensuring proper withholdings and compliance with state/federal requirements
Coordinating contractor payments and preparing 1099s
If you’re not familiar with payroll systems, no problem-this is not a requirement for the role.
Qualifications:
Experience with nonprofit bookkeeping (especially using QuickBooks Online)
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working independently and remotely

Our History:
Since 2021, Wildlife for All has been the only U.S. organization focused on nationally advocating for systemic change in state wildlife management affairs.
What We Do:
We lead and coordinate state and national efforts, working with coalition partners to drive reforms that ensure wildlife management is democratic, just, and scientifically informed. Our programs focus on legislative advocacy, restructuring wildlife commissions, refocusing agency priorities, securing broad-based conservation funding, and enhancing transparency.
