ORGANIZATION: ILLUMINATE LEARNING INC

  • Regularly review responses to the "Tutor Registration" form and ensure that eligible tutors are promptly scheduled for an orientation session
  • Maintain the accuracy, organization, and overall upkeep of the "Tutor Registration" form to ensure a smooth onboarding process
  • Assist the Tutor Services Lead in hosting one-on-one orientations (interviews & training sessions)
  • Keep a tab on helpful tools, resources, tips, & tricks tutors can leverage during their sessions
  • Help facilitate communication with tutors - primarily via email
  • Ensure that tutors are filling out the "Session Report" form, monitoring the frequency, content, and length of sessions
  • Keep track of how many sessions tutors have hosted, and help create trackers and certificates for their service hours
  • Assist the Tutor Services Lead in sending out personalized feedback to tutors
  • Must be in highschool (9th-12th grade and around 14~17 years old)

Mission Statement

As students we understand that schooling from home can be challenging and at times confusing, therefore we wanted to provide an outlet for children to interact with tutors and other students by providing engaging activities and educational projects. We primarily developed our nonprofit as a way to help children learn, explore their interests, and gain knowledge during the closure of schools & summer programs by offering free tutoring and mentoring. Our goal was to develop a responsive platform for younger students to receive guidance from high schoolers and collaborate with their peers as they navigated through the new mediums of virtual learning. With our ample, diverse background experience in tutoring and teaching, we can effectively establish a connection with your child to ensure they gain the most from our lessons.

Description

We are a high school run organization that provides free virtual tutoring services for students in the grades K-8 internationally. We also offer volunteer hours for students looking to conduct tutoring sessions with a student.
