Meow Lounge typically has 20 - 25 cats in our care every day as they wait to be adopted. We are looking for help with daily cleaning. Must have a good eye for dirt and be able to bend over as well as do some cleaning while being on your knees. The typical shift is 2 hours in the mornings.

Mission Statement

Meow Lounge is a Maine 501(c)3 that is dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable foster home for adoptable cats from local shelters. This unique space allows guests to connect with cats and each other through monthly activities. Our vibrant gift shop supports local artisans. Additionally, we engage in collaboration with non-profits to support low-cost spay/neuter clinics.

Description

Meow Lounge is set up as a foster home and offers a safe, fun place for people to interact with adoptable cats. We partner with 13 rescues from around the state and all the adoptions are done remotely, through the rescue where the cat originated from. Since we opened in July 2023, we have had over 660 cats adopted. The Lounge is also home to a small gift shop, where we feature over 35 local artists and their hand made cat related products.

We focus on calm, healing energy - for both our guests and the resident cats. We also offer the space at discounted rates to other non-profits as well as nursing homes, adult with disability groups and school groups. The number one feedback we get is that it's the most relaxing experience they've ever had.
