Volunteer with MentorU - Mentor Youth in Bellevue
ORGANIZATION: Big Brothers Big Sisters Of Puget Sound
Please visit the new page to apply.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound is looking for 30 volunteers to mentor 9th through 12th graders once a month at Interlake High School in a program called "MentorU".
Students in Big Brothers Big Sisters' MentorU program at Interlake High School are seeking reliable and empowering Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and Big Siblings to be part of their journey in achieving their personal, academic, and career goals. Help your mentee create a post-graduation plan by discussing college options, career pathways, resumes, and more!
The goal of MentorU is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships using a social emotional learning methodology to guide participants through personal development and beyond High School planning. The program follows the school/academic year (September-June), and schedules vary from school to school to allow flexibility for mentors, youth, and schools. Generally, mentors will meet with their mentees once a month for 2 hours, in a facilitated in-person session at the school. The program uses a cohort-based approach, working with incoming 9th graders, with the goal of ongoing student participation from 9th through 12th grade.
Your focus as a mentor would be to lend your unique experiences to guide a student into building on the strengths they already possess through facilitated sessions. As partners of Interlake High School, BBBS of Puget Sound is committed to supporting your partnership with a student.
