We are searching for a volunteer who would like to help us with market setup!
When: 6:30 am-9 am every Saturday from May 3rd - October 18th.
Where: On the corner of NW Cornell and Murray Roads, in the Safeway parking lot.
This would include:
- Setting up canopies
- Setting up tables and chairs
- Attaching signs with bungee cords
- Picking up litter
- Arranging traffic cones
- Communicating with market patrons
- and more!
We ask that interested volunteers are committed to helping us at least 3 times in a season. This helps us to know we have reliable volunteers who will have a sense of how the market operates. You are more than welcome to volunteer more than 3 times! We would love to see you as much as possible.
This opportunity does involve a good amount of moving, walking, and lifting objects, so we ask that all volunteers wear closed-toed shoes and clothing that is comfortable to move in. We will provide rubber gloves and plenty of water!

Our mission is to create a community space for people to shop for local produce and products, and to gather with friends. We partner with farms and small businesses to enhance community health and economic growth. We aim to be a vibrant part of the community's health by providing food and nutrition education and by supporting local farmers.
Description
Established in 1999, this market serves as an outdoor weekly community hub (May through mid-October) for fresh local produce and products, supporting local farmers, trying tasty food, and enjoying live music. It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning with family and friends, rain or shine. Kids can learn about healthy eating and how things grow through educational activities at our Power of Produce Kids Booth (and the kids get tokens to trade with farmers to buy fruit & veggies). The market is family and pet friendly. Everyone is welcome!
Cedar Mill Farmers Market is run by a small team, including two part-time staff and a Market Board.
