- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

We urgently need volunteers to help with tagging and sorting donated items. These tasks are essential to ensuring that we can offer a variety of quality items to those we serve. Hours are flexible, and shifts can be as short as one hour - any time you can give is greatly appreciated!
The Clothing Closet is located at the Women’s Empowerment Office, offering a meaningful way to contribute. This is also a wonderful opportunity to volunteer alongside a friend!

Mission Statement
The mission of Women’s Empowerment is to educate and empower women* who are experiencing homelessness with the skills and confidence necessary to get a job, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and regain a home for themselves and their children. Women’s Empowerment’s mission was created by women expressing their needs, and a community coming together with the desire to end homelessness--for good. For 24 years, WE has empowered women and their children into breaking the cycle of poverty and achieving self-reliance. Located in Sacramento, California, WE provides education, counseling, essential services, and more, all in a safe and nurturing environment where every person is treated with respect and dignity. *People who identify as non-binary genders and feel they belong in this community of cis and trans women are invited/welcome to participate in our programs
