About Pathways to Healing

Location:

Mission Statement

Volunteering at Pathways to Healing begins and ends with our Core Values: Respect, Community, Accountability and Compassion. Our purpose is to provide emotional support, information and resources, and be an effective messenger in support of survivors of sexual assault and their families. The guiding principles that we honor stand on the foundation of integrity, with the attitude of empowerment, patience and caring. It takes a village, and our Volunteer Manager’s leadership is driven by guidance, appreciation and the presenting of a positive image, attitude and team spirit.

Description

Pathways to Healing is a non-profit organization committed to ending sexual violence in five (5) South Carolina counties: Richland, Lexington, Sumter, Newberry and Clarendon. Pathways to Healing is a rape crisis center that offers the following services at NO COST: 24-hour hotline, 24-hour hospital accompaniment, individual counseling, legal & personal advocacy, and primary prevention & awareness education. We need volunteers to help us cover our hotline and to accompany victims of sexual assault to the hospital. We are also seeking volunteers for community tabling events. We have seasonal volunteer opportunities available, and space often fills quickly. Take the next step in giving back! Visit our website and click 'Volunteer & Outreach,' then 'apply here.'
