Are you passionate about honoring those who have served our country? Join us in making a difference.
Sanctuary Hospice is seeking dedicated volunteers for our We Honor Veterans program, a unique initiative that recognizes and supports Veterans in hospice care. This is a meaningful opportunity to give back to those who gave so much.
What You’ll Do:
Provide companionship and emotional support to Veteran patients
Participate in pinning ceremonies and recognition events
Help create a comforting and respectful environment for Veterans in their final days
Collaborate with hospice staff to meet the special needs of our Veteran patients
- Help locate and distribute resources to Veterans and their families
Who We’re Looking For:
Individuals who are compassionate, respectful, and dependable
Veterans or active-duty military personnel are especially encouraged to apply
No medical experience needed-training will be provided
Time Commitment: Flexible scheduling based on your availability
Location: Greater Dayton and Cincinnati Area

Patients and Families Come First The mission of Sanctuary Hospice is to understand and help guide our patients’ quest for a rewarding quality of life in their final days and to help their circle of family and friends support them in life and grieve for them in death. Description
Hospice Volunteers come from all walks of life, yet they all share a common desire-to enrich their own lives and the lives of others by giving generously of their time, energy and talents. Volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team. Once trained they may work in several areas: Administrative, Direct Patient Care Visitation for companionship and support, Bereavement support, Pet therapy, Music Therapy and many other Special Alternative Complementary services.
