As a volunteer dog trainer, you'll work with dogs recovering from the trauma of shelter confinement, helping them rebuild trust and rediscover joy. Our training philosophy emphasizes social bonds, resilience, and force-free methods informed by the latest behavioral science. Whether teaching basic manners or confidence-building skills, your role will be crucial in preparing dogs for lifelong homes and supporting systemic reform in animal welfare.

We welcome trainers of all experience levels if you've got a heart for dogs and a mind for learning, we'll help you grow. Volunteers can expect to work one-on-one with dogs, assist in group training sessions, and contribute to behavior assessments and enrichment plans. You'll also have opportunities to participate in community education events and advocacy initiatives.
