A Home of Their Own Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless animals. Our mission is to place them in loving homes and provide education, community, and support to forever families and their adopted pets. AHOTO was formed by experienced individuals with a passion for animal rescue, aiming to simplify the adoption process and ensure each animal finds their perfect forever home. We prioritize finding the right pet for applicants while also breaking down barriers to the adoption process and creating a strong bond between pets and owners.
Role Description
This is a volunteer remote role for an Outreach Manager. The Outreach Manager will be responsible for the marketing, social media, and public relations for AHOTO. Responsibilities for this position include the following: media relations, communication, marketing, social media, community outreach, event planning, creating and distributing media, and engagement with the public.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in public relations and community outreach
- Experience with social media engagement (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks
- Sales experience and a persuasive attitude
- Passion for animal welfare and rescue
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
- Knowledge of animal behavior and training is a plus
