Position Summary: To provide intermittent companionship and emotional support to patients and their caregivers facing life threatening illnesses and death.

  1. Provides respite care by staying with the patient up to 2 hours while caregiver runs errands.
  2. Provide companionship to patient when caregiver is home or not home or in a facility.
  3. Maintains strict patient/caregiver confidentiality.
  4. May volunteer in Palatka Care Center, facilities, or in the home.
  5. Volunteers must have their own transportation; may not be dropped off at patient homes.
  6. Must be reliable.
