Narrative Designer / Writer
Type: Part-Time | Remote
Reports to: Lead Game Designer
What You’ll Do:
Write interactive stories inspired by real youth experiences
Create dialogue trees, quests, and mentor/mentee interactions
Collaborate with students in co-writing sessions
Embed emotional safety, humor, and agency into game stories
We’re Looking For:
Strong narrative gamewriting or interactive fiction background
Experience writing with or for youth
Familiarity with trauma-informed storytelling
Bonus: Twine, Ink, or Unity dialogue tools

Mentor A Promise is a non-profit organization, and our mission is to provide socio-emotional learning, academic support, and mentorship to students in temporary housing and facing housing instability.
Description
We partner with family temporary housing sites across New York, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a strong support network for young people experiencing homelessness, helping them overcome challenges and forge their own path to success. We connect students with our mentors for in-person and online programs.
