As a volunteer for The MomCo and KidsCo, you will help us accomplish our KidsCo goal to create a safe, nurturing environment for all children and take excellent care of MomCo kids while moms enjoy their time with other moms.
As such, The MomCo and KidsCo Coordinator would love to hear from you if you:
- Love Jesus!
- Can volunteer 8:45 AM - 11:15 AM two Fridays a month from September 2025 to May 2026.
- Can work with at least one other adult.
- Can reset and pick up the classroom(s) at the end of your volunteer shift
- Can teach Christ-centered prepared curriculum.
- Can fill out diaper change/bathroom log and accident reports, as needed
- Can physically, mentally, and emotionally care for a group of young children. This includes:
- Accepting all children and families
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Modeling kind, compassionate, and nurturing behavior
- Being mentally and physically present and predictable
- Being attentive to children and their needs
- Building relationships with children in your care
- Contacting leadership if children are sick, injured, or inconsolable
- Following all security guidelines and safety protocols
- Rewarding good behavior & disciplining children calmly & using distractions, as needed
- Changing diapers and/or assisting with bathroom breaks
- Assisting with handwashing and other hygiene needs
- Serving snack

MomCo is a non-profit organization that encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus and in partnership with the local church.
MomCo - then, simply known as MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)-was founded in 1973 when seven women in Colorado invited moms to meet regularly to grow together as women, parents, and leaders, with the ultimate goal of reaching women with the hope of Jesus.
Today, the small gathering they called MOPS now extends to 101+ countries, 25 languages, 72,000+ meetings a year and influences over a million moms annually.
