Mission Statement

Our mission is to ignite a lifelong passion for music in young children by providing accessible, high-quality instruction in a diverse array of musical instruments. Through innovative teaching methods, nurturing mentorship, and fostering a supportive community, we strive to cultivate creativity, confidence, and discipline in our students. We are dedicated to unlocking the potential of every child, enriching their lives through the transformative power of music education.

Description

Learning The Notes is a student-led nonprofit organization created by highschool students who are passionate about music. Through Learning The Notes, we hope to spread our musical knowledge and make learning and enjoying music better accessible to aspiring young musicians. With Learning The Notes’s website, we pair any elementary school music learner with a highschool (or older) volunteer who plays the same instrument. Students that are genuinely passionate about music are given the chance to explore their instrument and musical capability through an easy, free process that our organization provides. Every week the tutor and student will have the opportunity to meet online, and the tutor will be able to give lessons on the basics of beginning the student’s instrument.
