Engage patients through song, rhythm, or musical conversation
Offer emotional and spiritual support through musical presence
Work with the care team and volunteer coordinator to ensure appropriate matches and experiences
Ideal Qualities:
Warm, empathetic, and a good listener
Comfortable with the hospice environment and sensitive to patients' needs
Musically skilled or enthusiastic about sharing music in a thoughtful way
Able to adapt musical offerings based on patient preferences and abilities
Able to commit to regular visits (typically 1-2 hours weekly)
Scheduling is flexible and coordinated around your availability and patient needs.
Training and support are provided.
