ORGANIZATION: Choice Health at Home

Patient/Family Care Volunteers perform a range of tasks centered around providing comfort and support to patients and their loved ones throughout the Tulsa area.

Would you like to be a companion to a hospice patient? Help a family? Volunteers provide support to patients and loved ones doing tuck in calls, writing letters, delivering flowers, and spending time visiting patients just to mention a few of the ways to reach out to patients. The meaningful work of providing bedside companionship is what hospice volunteers provide. Volunteers spend time with patients and their families to celebrate life moments and overall provide much needed companionship.

We have a great volunteer team, and we would love for you to be a part of it.

Contact me with any questions.

Mission Statement

To enhance the life of every patient we serve in the pursuit of delivering excellent healthcare.

Description

Hospice is a patient-centered approach to improve the quality of life and provide compassionate support for patients and families. Hospice care is focused on maintaining dignity and providing comfort, including pain and symptom management at the end of life when a cure is no longer possible. Also called palliative care, hospice involves the aggressive treatment of physical and emotional pain and symptoms. Hospice affirms life, improves comfort, and does not hasten or postpone death.
