Bring joy, comfort and connection to patients as they enter their last stages of life. You will receive orientation and training and will be well-supported by the hospice team. What can you do as a "cheer volunteer"?

  • Friendly visit with patient
  • Assist patients as they participate in nursing home activities
  • Celebrate birthdays
  • Play cards or a game
  • Sit outdoors with them on a patio
  • Walk their dog
  • Play a musical instrument and/or sing

Description

Hospice care is about living! The Traditions Health hospice team walks with the patient and their loved ones throughout their end of life journey, providing the education and care they need for the best quality of life possible. A volunteer is a very important member of our hospice team whether they visit the patient, help the caregiver with errands or provide administrative support at the hospice office.
