When it comes to Hospice, patients have an entire team to look after them, but who looks after the family members affected? Many hospice patients live with a permanent caregiver, be it a spouse, a child, or a sibling, someone has dedicated their time to take care of them.
At Phoenix, we are looking for volunteers who are willing to be the life raft for those that permanently care for our patients. With only 3 hours per month. (an hour an a half over 2 visits), YOU can be that life raft.
Our Relief Volunteers spend their time sitting with patients while their family members take a much needed break. The service they offer is among the highest requested and most appreciated of all the Volunteer oppurtunities we have. Holding a conversation, playing music, do puzzles, or just sitting quietly with our patients is all thats required of them. No nursing, or any physical exertion needed!

Phoenix Hospice’s volunteer program is looking for compassionate, caring members of our communities who are interested in hospice volunteering. Do you have an interest in spending time with patients? Do you love engaging in a variety of activities or have a favorite one you’d like to share? Would you like to lend a helping hand in our office? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, Phoenix is looking for you! Join Team Phoenix to start serving your community and helping your neighbors!
Phoenix Hospice volunteers form a dedicated, compassionate team that provides extra support, comfort, and love to terminally ill patients. Join us to start helping your neighbors and their families, providing comfort and an extra hand. You can volunteer as little or as much as you’d like!
