Pocket Security is a nonprofit organization empowering communities with accessible cybersecurity knowledge, training, and resources to protect against everyday digital threats.

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a creative and motivated Marketing Volunteer to help amplify our message, grow our audience, and promote our programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with social media content creation (LinkedIn, X, Instagram)

  • Draft short posts, newsletters, or promotional content

  • Help maintain a content calendar and suggest engagement ideas

  • Support marketing campaigns for events, webinars, or trainings

  • Collaborate with our team to ensure messaging aligns with our mission

Ideal Volunteer:

  • Passionate about cybersecurity, digital rights, or community empowerment

  • Experience with social media or digital marketing (a plus, but not required)

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Can commit ~2 hours/week on a flexible schedule

Pocket Security, Inc. offers solutions to help educate, create awareness and develop a plan in cyber security, risk management and business continuity tailored to each nonprofit so individuals within each organization will feel empowered to make informed and strategic decisions to carry out their mission safely and confidently. At Pocket Security, Inc. we believe a proactive approach to securing data and systems is essential, especially as new threats arise looking for vulnerabilities within our organizations.
