Full Description:
Our workshops offer GED prep, job training, parenting classes, and more. As a Workshop Helper, you'll support facilitators and participants by assisting with setup, materials, and participant needs.

You’ll help by:

  • Setting up seating, handouts, and supplies

  • Greeting and checking in participants

  • Assisting instructors with light tasks

We’re looking for:

  • Friendly, dependable volunteers

  • Able to lift light items and assist quietly

  • 2-3 hour shifts during weekday sessions

Life's Next Chapter Reentry Home's mission is to bring about positive change in communities of low socioeconomic status, by providing shelter and rehabilitation. We offer assistance in obtaining education,employment counseling ect to the homeless, recently released , and those suffering from substance abuse disorder helping them rewrite this chapter of their lives..

Description

We believe that homelessness and substance abuse disorder are the by product of depression which often leads to incarceration which may worsen the mental illness. Incarcerated individuals experience depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, or PTSD. Here at Life's next chapter We focus on the root cause of the issues (poverty,lack of resources,social disparity ect) depression is a complex disease that requires a comprehensive and holistic approach to treatment. Our evidence-based programs incorporate a range of therapies and counseling techniques to address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of depression/addiction . Our staff is comprised of compassionate and experienced professionals who are dedicated to helping our residents achieve lasting recovery. We provide personalized care and support to each resident to ensure that the individual needs are met as they write the next chapter of life.
