Victim Advocates at Project S.A.V.E. provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered support to individuals impacted by sexual violence and intimate partner abuse. Advocates play a critical role in crisis response, safety planning, resource connection, and emotional support, ensuring every survivor is heard, believed, and empowered.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to new cases referred by the Executive Director or program staff
Conduct safety assessments and create personalized safety plans
Offer emotional support, active listening, and validation
Provide referrals to internal and external services, including counseling, peer support, housing, legal aid, and public assistance
Assist clients with completing forms, reporting incidents (if requested), or navigating systems
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, including crisis response logs and client referral forms
Follow the advocate checklist to ensure consistency in response and care
Collaborate with the larger Project S.A.V.E. team to ensure continuity of support
Qualifications:
Compassionate, nonjudgmental, and committed to survivor advocacy
Must complete required training and onboarding
Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold trauma-informed practices
Background checks and clearances required for direct service roles
Previous experience in victim services, crisis response, or community work is a plus (not required)
Commitment:
Flexible volunteer or part-time opportunities available
Must be available for monthly supervision and ongoing training
In-person and remote advocacy options available based on case needs

Description
We were founded in 2016 and we stand to be the first and only one stop center in Philadelphia bridging together all violent crimes and healing methods. We provide free services to our clients, free community events, and provide certain trainings.
