Young Black & 'N Business' (YBNB) 4th Annual BizCon aims to empower and inspire young emerging entrepreneurs and business leaders, providing them with valuable insights, tools, and networking opportunities. YBNB's members come from a variety of industries and backgrounds, they are entrepreneurs, investors, venture capitalists, life scientists, engineers, including healthcare and legal professionals. At BizCon, entrepreneurs will learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, engage with mentors and role models, participate in workgroup breakout sessions, and explore opportunities from community and business groups in the tabling area, further expanding their networks and career prospects.

Volunteers are needed to help BizCon run smoothly. Volunteers may help with set up, event registration, assisting Pitch Competition judges, assisting with the Pitch Competition Seal Tank and Dolphin Tank, helping with vendor engagement, escorting attendees, and breakdown.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Business casual attire. Official BizCon t-shirts will be provided for volunteers. This opportunity takes place both indoors and outdoors.

Bring: Bring a positive attitude and energy. Volunteers will be provided a complimentary lunch during their shift.

Physical Requirements: Able to walk through the San Diego Convention Center and stand periods of time. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.

Weather: Rain or shine event will take place.
