Resilience offers unpaid internship programs that require at least a 4-month commitment with a minimum of 5 hours per week and team meetings weekly. Availability must also allow for as-needed meetings/phone calls. There are flexible start and end dates with the option to continue after meeting the minimum requirement.
As a CAD Designer at Resilience, you will work closely with the Director of Research and Development to create detailed 2D and 3D designs for various projects. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in CAD design and contribute to the development of innovative solutions within our organization.
Daily Expectation
As a CAD Designer, your daily expectations will include:
- Report to the Director of Research and Development.
- Attend regular development meetings
- Conduct structural analyses on the CAD Model
- Use software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for projects.
- Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs
- Make revisions to models as requested
- Keep up to date on modern advancements in material and software technologies.
- Analyze data and situations and come up with creative solutions.
- Utilize available databases of material property information to best select materials for modeling.
Requirements:
To fulfill the role successfully, you should meet the following requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in business administration, communication, management, or a related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively with artists, designers, and other engineers.
- Work independently.
- Someone to create 3D models in CAD software; ex. Solidworks, Autodesk software.
- Ability to work on a team and attend weekly remote meetings.
- Reliable, punctual, and pays attention to details.
- Consistently communicate with team members.
- Process eagerness to learn and an open mind to improve critical skills.
- Receptive to improving problem-solving skills.
- Objective learning.

The organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through 5 core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting & effective decision-making. Resilience also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, social beings, and overall well-being.
