The Women’s Transitional Residence Program (TRUST House) in Jamaica Plain offers a unique volunteer opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women veterans recovering from PTSD and substance use disorders. As a live-in volunteer House Manager, you’ll help maintain a safe, supportive, and sober home environment for up to six residents, while joining a mission rooted in dignity, healing, and community. With the support of two other House Managers, you’ll share responsibility for coverage, allowing for flexibility and balance. In exchange for your time, you’ll live rent-free in a private room with full amenities, all while being part of a compassionate team that truly changes lives.

  • The role involves 1–2 weeknights per week and 1–2 weekends per month, shared with two others. You must stay on-site during shifts but are free to relax or work on your own—it's a meaningful way to support others while maintaining balance.
  • Volunteers must be female, have a valid driver’s license, and commit to one year. Background check and participation in supervision meetings required.
