Join the Firm Foundation Housing and Wellness Board!

Firm Foundation Housing and Wellness, a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is actively seeking passionate individuals to join our growing board. We're on a mission to address the critical need for a low-barrier emergency homeless shelter in Polk County. Our organization was founded by an African American woman with lived experience of homelessness in this community and is guided by a diverse board of local leaders, reflecting our commitment to addressing systemic disparities that disproportionately affect people of color.

We've already forged important connections with local organizations, government officials, state officials, and first responders. Now, we're looking for dedicated individuals, especially those with a passion for the community and the unhoused, to help us move forward. We are specifically seeking Secretary and Treasurer positions. While we are a new organization, we are actively pursuing government and state funding to launch this vital community support.
