nenos is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building ethical technologies and digital literacy tools that help communities thrive. Our work includes Bloom Social, an ad-free, people-first social media platform, and Digital Roots, our digital education program. We design content that empowers people, especially youth and underrepresented groups, to navigate the digital world with confidence.
About the RoleWe’re seeking a Digital Learning Director to lead our digital education initiatives, including webinars, curricula, and public workshops. You’ll manage a small team of volunteers spotlighting content on topics such as cybersecurity, job-focused digital skills, AI literacy, and misinformation.
This is a leadership-level, remote volunteer position, ideal for someone with experience in instructional design, education, or digital literacy who wants to give back to their community.
ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee development of nenos' Digital Roots programming
Manage volunteers contributing to curriculum, webinars, and educational content
- Identify and engage experts to speak at virtual webinars
Ensure accuracy, accessibility, and cultural relevance of all materials
Support virtual promotion and delivery of workshops
Track impact and gather participant feedback for continuous improvement
Experience in education, instructional design, digital literacy, or curriculum development
Comfortable managing small teams or volunteers
Strong understanding of digital safety, media literacy, or tech education
Familiarity with educational tools like PowerPoint, Google Slides, Zoom, and Teams
Organized, collaborative, and mission-aligned
Passionate about closing the digital divide and promoting ethical tech use
Lead an education initiative from the ground up
Collaborate with thoughtful, passionate volunteers in a growing nonprofit
Help communities and youth develop digital skills for the real world
