Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society (MCRS) is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Bunny Groomer and Nail Trimmer. If you have a passion for the well-being of companion rabbits and possess the skills necessary to provide grooming services and conduct nail trims, we want to hear from you. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring the comfort and health of our furry friends while also engaging with the local rabbit community. Join us in promoting responsible rabbit ownership and provide essential services to rabbit companions and their caregivers.

Location: South St. Paul or Golden Valley, Minnesota

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nail trims for companion rabbits during designated Hoppy Hour sessions, occurring Sundays from 11:15 am to 3:00 pm.

• Provide grooming services to ensure the well-being and comfort of rabbits.

• Coordinate with volunteers to assist during nail trimming sessions or Hoppy Hour events.

• Manage the grooming and nail trimming schedule efficiently, ensuring all appointments are attended to promptly.

• Maintain excellent verbal communication skills to interact with rabbit owners and other volunteers..

• Utilize various marketing channels and strategies to promote the grooming and nail trimming services offered.

• Willingness to assist with other tasks during Hoppy Hour, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience with rabbit grooming and nail trimming techniques preferred.

• Strong teamwork skills to coordinate with other volunteers effectively.

• Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with clients.

• Familiarity with various marketing channels and strategies to promote services.

• Passion for animal welfare, particularly the well-being of companion rabbits.

Time Commitment: We request that you volunteer in this position 1-2 times per month. The job may involve volunteering for the entire Hoppy Hour session (about 4 hours), or only during appointment nail trims (11:15 am to 1:00 pm, approximately 2 hours), or solely during the latter part of Hoppy Hour (1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, also approximately 2 hours).
