Provide invaluable support to the animal welfare community from home.

HumanePro includes a robust educational website, social media community, and learning management system aimed to support animal welfare professionals and volunteers. This volunteer will help us ensure important website update requests and learning management system reporting is completed in a timely and consistent manner.

The digital support volunteer will provide website support, assist with data collection and data entry, and research and summarize grant information, among other responsibilities.

The volunteer will learn or strengthen computer skills, gain experience researching and summarizing grants, and learn how a robust digital community functions and grows in the animal welfare space.

Becoming a volunteer

Requirements for our volunteer:

• Strong communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Computer proficiency
• Experience learning or using digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Microsoft Office preferred; Airtable and/or Drupal experience a plus but not required

Commitment policy:

• Volunteer commits to eight hours per week for three months.

Restrictions:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have access to a computer with Microsoft Office and a dependable, high-speed internet connection
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check

Process:

• After review of your application, a staff member will contact you to discuss the opportunity. If we mutually determine that the opportunity appears to be a good match, you will be asked to fill out an authorization form allowing us to carry out a background check.
• Before becoming an official volunteer, you must pass the background check, sign a volunteer agreement, and sign a waiver/release of liability.
