ORGANIZATION: NATIONAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION HOTLINE

  • 1 person is interested

The National Violence Prevention Hotline (NVPH) is seeking a dedicated public relations firm to partner with us on a pro bono basis. As a nonprofit organization with limited funding, we must prioritize every dollar toward keeping our life-saving hotline operational. However, public awareness is essential to our mission - because every call we miss due to lack of public knowledge could be a life at risk.

We are specifically seeking to work with a PR company, not individual volunteers. This opportunity is for established firms with the capacity to help elevate our message, build media relationships, and amplify the visibility of this critical national resource.

Your firm’s pro bono support will directly contribute to violence prevention efforts across the country - raising awareness for a resource that prevents tragedy before it strikes. Every effort to spread the word is actively saving lives.

We are able to provide a tax-deductible donation receipt for hours spent x hourly rate.

If your agency is looking for meaningful, purpose-driven work that directly impacts communities and public safety, we’d be honored to connect.Thank you for considering partnering with us to build safer communities.

About NATIONAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION HOTLINE

Location:

781 KENMOOR AVE SE STE C, GRAND RAPIDS, MI 49546, US

Mission Statement

The Violence Prevention Hotline proposes to provide free, confidential, expert support for people in distress and feeling compelled toward committing acts of violence in the future.

Description

Thinking while angry is not a crime. A person who is isolated and has troubling thoughts may contemplate violence. Is there someone to calm them or who can help dispel the feelings of anger and isolation? Is there someone to help this person before they might act out those troubling thoughts? Yes. The National Violence Prevention Hotline can act as a lifeline for anyone who has violent thoughts. By having an outlet to talk about their thoughts, get proper referrals, and develop a safety plan, a person who is contemplating violence can get back to living their life without harming others. Violence may be prevented. The Hotline may also provide a lifeline for victims of violence who have not yet called the police and are seeking counsel regarding their situation.
