Opportunity Title: In Kind Donation Transport
Opportunity Description: We are looking for volunteers to assist us with the transport of backpacks and school supplies from a corporate volunteer engagement on our behalf in NW DC to all three of our offices (DC, Fairfax, Silver Spring). Volunteers assisting will only need to suppor with the transport to one location but we will need volunteers helping transport to all 3 of our offices.
A valid driver's license registered and insured in the driver’s name and access to a personal vehicle will be required of all volunteers for these opportunities.
Department/Individuals Assisting Ayuda’s Social Services Team
Responsible to: Our Volunteer Manager, Connor Paul
Responsibilities:
- Transporting backpacks and school supplies from corporate volunteer engagement in NW DC to one of our office locations (DC, MD, VA)
- Loading backpacks and school supplies into vehicle at the corporate volunteer site
- Unloading backpacks and school supplies from vehicle at one of our offices
Opportunity Requirements:
- Required:
- Valid driver’s license
- Access to a personal vehicle that is registered and insured
- Strong cross-cultural communication abilities
- Being a team player
- Positivity and enthusiasm for our work
- Preferred:
- Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 10 lbs.
Commitment:
- Volunteers will need to meet us at the volunteer site in NW DC for the pick up on Wednesday, August 6th at 4 PM
Technology Needed: No technology is needed to assist with this opportunity other than a personal vehicle.
