Looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Become a Girls on the Run Coach and help 3rd-8th grade girls build confidence, make connections, and discover their inner strength-all while having fun! Opportunities available throughout the Acadiana region.

As a coach, you’ll:

  • Lead girls through fun lessons that combine physical activity with life skills

  • Be a positive role model and trusted mentor

  • Help girls build confidence, friendships, and a healthy lifestyle

  • Celebrate their growth with a joyful end-of-season 5K

No running experience required-just a desire to support and uplift girls! We provide all the training, materials, and support you need. Teams meet 2x per week after school for 10 weeks.

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Description

We are the local council of a national organization that envisions a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We serve 18 parishes in South Louisiana and have almost 13,000 girls who have gone through our program since 2009. We host 2 seasons a year: Fall (Sept.-Nov.) and Spring (Feb.-May) and teams meet twice a week for 75-90 minutes for 10 weeks. We provide all of the training and materials and no running or coaching experience is required.
