Job Summary: We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Animator and Motion Graphics Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong animation and motion graphics expertise, with a particular proficiency in Adobe After Effects. This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing captivating animated content, as well as contributing to video editing and overall digital media production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Animation & Motion Graphics (After Effects Focus):
- Conceptualize, design, and animate 2D and/or 3D graphics, characters, and visual effects primarily using Adobe After Effects.
- Create compelling motion graphics for a variety of platforms, including social media, websites, presentations, advertisements, and explainers.
- Develop storyboards, animatics, and style frames to visualize animation concepts.
- Bring static designs to life through dynamic movement and visual storytelling.
- Ensure all animated content aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives.
- Stay abreast of current animation trends, software updates, and best practices.
- Video Editing & Production Support:
- Edit and assemble video footage, incorporating animated elements, transitions, sound design, and color correction to produce polished final videos.
- Integrate motion graphics seamlessly into live-action or pre-recorded video content.
- Assist with other aspects of video production as needed, which may include footage selection, basic audio clean-up, and outputting various video formats.
- Optimize video content for different platforms and distribution channels.
- Creative Collaboration & Project Management:
- Collaborate closely with creative directors, designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into effective animated and video content.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for visual content.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
- Iterate on designs and animations based on feedback, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Maintain an organized digital asset library for animation and video projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, Film Production, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrable expertise in Adobe After Effects (REQUIRED) for motion graphics and animation.
- Proficiency in other Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of animation, motion graphics, and video projects.
- Solid understanding of animation principles, timing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Knowledge of video production workflows, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
- Understanding of file formats, codecs, and optimization techniques for various platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to articulate creative concepts and receive feedback.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points For):
- Experience with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
- Familiarity with character rigging and animation.
- Basic understanding of scripting or expressions in After Effects.
- Experience with sound design and mixing for animation and video.
- Ability to illustrate or storyboard concepts by hand or digitally.
- Basic videography or photography skills.
