Media Specialist / Digital Content Creator

ORGANIZATION: M4A Foundation - CrowdDoing

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of digital media production, with a strong emphasis on graphic design using Adobe Photoshop, and comprehensive video editing and creation. This role will be instrumental in developing engaging visual content across various platforms to support our marketing, communication, and brand initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design (Photoshop Focus):
    • Design, create, and edit high-quality visual content for various digital platforms, including social media, websites, email campaigns, presentations, and advertisements, primarily using Adobe Photoshop.
    • Retouch, color correct, and manipulate images to meet project specifications and brand guidelines.
    • Develop visual concepts, graphics, and layouts.
    • Ensure all visual assets are consistent with brand identity and messaging.
    • Manage and organize digital asset libraries.
  • Video Editing & Creation:
    • Plan, shoot (if applicable), and edit video content for a variety of purposes, including promotional videos, interviews, short-form social media content, tutorials, and internal communications.
    • Utilize professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) to assemble footage, add transitions, effects, graphics, and sound design.
    • Create compelling motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video content.
    • Add and synchronize audio, including music, voiceovers, and sound effects.
    • Optimize video content for different platforms and audiences.
    • Stay up-to-date with current video trends and best practices.
  • Content Strategy & Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the marketing, communications, and other relevant teams to understand content needs and translate them into engaging visual assets.
    • Contribute to content ideation and brainstorming sessions.
    • Ensure all media content aligns with overall marketing goals and brand strategy.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Provide creative input and recommendations on visual storytelling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Film Production, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven expertise in Adobe Photoshop (required) and other Adobe Creative Suite applications (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign) is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in video editing and creation using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of graphic design and video editing work.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual aesthetics.
  • Knowledge of video production workflows, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
  • Familiarity with different video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points For):

  • Experience with motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  • Basic photography and videography skills (camera operation, lighting, audio recording).
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
  • Understanding of digital marketing trends and analytics.
  • Experience with animation or 3D modeling software.
