About Save the Water(tm):
Save the Water(tm) (STW) is a global nonprofit dedicated to water quality research and public education. Our mission is to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water and raise awareness of their health impacts. With water contamination posing a major global crisis, our vision is simple yet powerful: contamination-free, healthy water for all. STW provides a meaningful platform for students to learn, contribute, and advocate for clean water solutions.
Position Summary:
Save the Water(tm) is seeking enthusiastic and committed undergraduate students for a Summer Internship focused on environmental research and educational development. Interns will explore the intersection of science and public engagement, contributing to the development and sharing of materials that raise awareness about water contamination and sustainability. This role is ideal for students interested in applying their academic knowledge to real-world environmental challenges while gaining experience in nonprofit education and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Help design and develop engaging presentation-style content for the summer educational camp for kids.
Create educational infographics and short videos that highlight key water facts and concerns for use on the website and social media.
Support the development of interdisciplinary lesson plans that integrate science and art, specifically tailored for grades 6-12 educators.
Work with the team to brainstorm and carry out creative outreach strategies to share materials with school boards and educators.
