Join us and Salinas Valley Pride for a workday of celebrating community! LGBTQIA+ individuals, families, and allies are invited to support our ongoing habitat restoration efforts. Volunteers will remove invasive or non-native vegetation and use it to cover social trails in order to discourage illegal off-trail hiking that disturbs sensitive habitats. During planting season, we will plant native species and water plants. We will also be picking up trash as needed. This project helps protect dune habitat that supports local wildlife like the Smith’s blue butterfly and western snowy plover. Ages 8 and older welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a waiver signed by their guardian).
