This exciting and meaningful event marks the end of summer and helps Brilliant families gear up for the new school year. In collaboration with the Piety Hill Neighborhood Association’s Summer Block Party Committee, we’ll be giving away free backpacks and school supplies to our Brilliant Central participants, sharing information about our upcoming fall programs, and bringing the community together for a day of fun-including games, a bounce house, and a delicious BBQ.
Volunteers will play a key role in creating a warm and energetic atmosphere by assisting with event set-up, registration, activity management, food distribution, and post-event clean-up. It’s a great opportunity to connect, give back, and help make this celebration unforgettable for the community.

Brilliant Detroit is dedicated to building kid success families and neighborhoods where families with children 0-8 have what they need to be school ready, healthy and stable. We do this by providing proven programming and support year-round out of Brilliant Detroit homes in high-need neighborhoods.
