Are you fluent in more than one language? Do you love spending time just chatting and visiting with people? Please consider becoming a Patient Care Volunteer with Gulfside Hospice in Hillsborough county. Your language skills would be a great asset! Many of our patients and their families speak many different languages and they often feel more comfortable speaking in their native tongue.

This volunteer opportunity requires training. There is no minimum time requirement to volunteer with Gulfside, just your commitment and compassion!

Fingerprinting, a Level 2 background check, and a TB test are required and paid by Gulfside Healthcare Services.

It is our mission of Gulfside Hospice to provide compassionate, quality care to individuals and their loved ones as they face life-limiting illnesses. We will help our patients to find relief from pain and suffering, so they may live each day with dignity, peace and comfort.

Description

Our organization is a non profit agency that has served the families of Pasco County for over 25 years. Our core philosophy and the organization's fundamental reason for existence, or soul of the organization is to provide dignity, peace and comfort to all we serve.

Our guiding principles are Honesty and integrity, working together to meet common goals, stewards of all our resources, finding new and better ways to care for our communities and most importantly, our patients and families come first.

We service all our patients with or without ability to pay. We have programs that reach out to the underserved such as the Latino community. Our bereavement services are offered to all of Pasco County residents without cost to the individual or family.

Our volunteers are an integral part of maintaining our non-profit hospice agency status.
