Make a Life Changing Impact for High School Students in Need!

ORGANIZATION: Education First



Volunteer with Education First to join a passionate team working to raise critical scholarship funds through outreach and in-person fundraising events.

Why: Your volunteer efforts empower low income high school students to reach their education, career, and life goals. Over a lifetime, people with a college or graduate degree earn about $1 million more than those with a high school diploma.

Who: Education First is a nonprofit that supports local low-income high school students with scholarships and career coaching. Since 1995, we have awarded $1.5 million in scholarships to students in need.

What to Expect:

Volunteer on your own schedule

Contact (call, email, in-person) local businesses for donations (e.g., gift cards, gift baskets, food, etc)

Setup and manage our auction platform

Spread awareness of our event to family/friends to ensure we hit our fundraising goals (40 attendees, $6000 raised)

Help setup/manage our annual fundraiser onsite at Lawless Brewing on Saturday (9/20)

What's Required:

Commit an average of 1-2 hours/week on your own schedule from now until our fundraiser on 9/20

Able to work independently with minimal oversight

Access and ability to work on a computer for tasks (e.g., email, auction platform, Word, Powerpoint, etc)

Preference to live within Los Angeles, especially in Studio City/North Hollywood/Burbank area
