Description

The Young Leaders Society Pakistan (YLS‑P), launched on August 14, 2020, is a youth-led, non-partisan organization headquartered in Islamabad and currently led by President Muhammad Tabish Hamid. With international chapters in the UK, Turkey, and the Netherlands, YLS‑P is dedicated to empowering youth through civic engagement, policy advocacy, and community development, aligning its work with the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Its core focus areas include youth empowerment, quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), climate action (SDG 13), and reducing inequalities (SDG 10). The organization has launched impactful initiatives such as the Education for All campaign, climate mobilizations involving over 15,000 citizens, and a legal push to unban student unions in Pakistan. It has hosted national youth policy forums and played a key role in establishing Pakistan’s first municipal youth advisory board. YLS‑P's leadership structure includes a president, vice presidents, a general secretary, thematic leads, and coordinators, supported by a wide network of youth volunteers. Internationally, its members have represented Pakistan at forums like the International AIDS Conference and UN Youth consultations. YLS‑P collaborates with government agencies, academic institutions, civil society, and think tanks like IPS and LPRI to create inclusive, youth-driven solutions for sustainable development.
